Default Is this a good Acura TSX Lease Deal?

I just leased a 2008 Acura TSX, no extra options, non-navi, 5-speed auto. My payments are $296/month (plus tax). I have put $4000 down (I don't like to put a down payment on lease but I just really had to make the payments as low as I could). The residual on the car is around $16700. Lease terms are 10k/yr, 36 months lease. I qualified for tier 2 because I wasn't on the credit bureau for long enough (only 8 months or so) as I moved recently. I don't know exactly what it is, but they told me that the money factor is 2.51%. It seemed to me like it was a good deal because it was only $1800 more than the advertised on the lease special (WA residents pay additional $700 fee on top of the $1500 advertised) and the payments were actually $3/mo less. My question though is: did I get a good deal? Your comments are greatly appreciated. Thank you! Also wanted to mention that leasing this vehicle was a cheaper way to buy, I am planning to purchase it at the end of lease. Thank you!

To me a Lease is not good of any kind, you can pay for the car and when the lease is over you own nothing, if you drive over the mile given you in a year you pay more plus maintenance cost. There is one good thing about a Lease, it is just like a new car or truck. It is covered under the Lemon Law so if you have problem like the tires are not wearing properly (feathering edges, edge ware or other problem in the first 18 mo. or 18K miles) then you may have a right to a full refund or another car. If a vehicle is in the shop 4 times for the same problem and it is still causing you concern then you should contact a Lemon Law attorney for help, most don't charge you for help. Keep your eyes on the tires and the transmission shifting as well as the electrical system. Good Luck and God Bless

NO lease is a good lease. Never lease a car, either buy it or don't. Leasing costs more money in the long run and you own nothing. You think you have a good deal, but look at the money you put out. First it's a down payment, then the license/tax, then it's the monthly payment, then overpayments for extra milege, then theres the 'fix' it for things that get broken/damaged. Then theres what you owe at the end of the lease. By then the car is so devalued, you owe more than it's worth. (and if you have to take out a loan to pay, there MORE interest on that...).So what have you really got ??? a new car you've paid 2-3 times more for, than you should have in the first place. Plus theres your insurance. Insurence is more for leases than owned....(plus I forgot all the money you have to give up if you want or need to turn it in early.)So save yourself a lot of trouble and BUY a new car or a used one, don't LEASE. (unless it's for a business and you can write off the lease, it doesn't pay...it sucks the life right out of your credit.)

if you feel it is a good deal-go for it-personally I would never lease and if I did I would not put $4,000 down on it. I average 30,000 miles a year on my 06 6spd w/nav tsx. love it-excellent car.
