Gotta tell 'ya...we're a rough crowd around here; you probably need to visit one of the Acura 'tuner' sites, like ACURAZINE.COM.As it turns out (no lie), I'm a 53 yr old, Hispanic, born-again Christian, politically conservative, Acura/Honda tuner nut. Yes, this doesn't fit any of the polester's profiles, but I can appreciate your question anyway, 'cause I drive both an '00 V6 Accord, and an '06 TL...both tuned for performance...wife says it's a mid-life crisis thing. Here's what I would do:Appearance --Visit various sites like Summit Racing, and Whitney auto, just to mention a couple. You'll find loads of aftermarket body kits.Handling --Visit sites like CT-Engineering, Neuspeed, Koni, Tein, and Eibach, for example...you'll find lots of suspsesion uprades, including coilovers, top tower bar braces, brake upgrade kits, cross-drilled rotors, SS brake lines, camber adjustment brackets, and larger diameter rear sway bars.Drivetrain --Sites like AEM, Injen, Unichip, SunAutomobileGREDDY, CT-Engineering, Outlaw Engineering, and again, the ACURAZINE.com TL's enthusiasts' site will point you in the direction of your various options: Comptech supercharger, cold air induction, Comptech headers, catback exhaust, iridium plugs, throttlebody & intake pheneloic thermal spacers, aftermarket ECM controllers & plug-play engine chipsets, hyper ground kits for battery, underdrive pulleys, etc.Be aware that the Gen 2 TL suffers from Honda's automatic transmission recall / class action lawsuit. Approx. up to 8% of all V6 Acuras/Hondas from '98 - '03 suffer premature tranny failures. If you do mods to your car, it's best to install an aftermarket transmission cooler (see the CT-Engineering site for one), and it's best to religiously change your transmission fluid. Use only the best fluids, like REDLINE brand. Have fun!

Hey, many know me as TheKingOfVTEC, and yes I can help.It depends on how 'fast and furious' you want it to be. I used to have a 1999 TL, so I can help alot. I can't help much in the appearance area, but mechanical, we can talk! If budget is not a huge issue, go with a Comptech Supercharger, its smooth power delivery will be excellent for a 6cyl engine, and all Comptech parts are Honda Certified and will not void your warrantee if you still have one. The supercharger will put the power from 225hp to the 275-290hp range. Since the VTEC system on the car engages right around 4600 rpm, the supercharger automatically adjust the system to change profiles at 3300 instead of 4600 for torque of about 260-275 ft. lbs at a flat curve of 3500-5800 rpm. For exhaust, I would go with Comptech Exhaust System which has optional silencers if you want to keep the 'lux' profile for the car, and it adds about 12hp and 4 ft. lbs. Other than these major items, little things like maybe trying a high-horsepower synthetic blend oil like Q High-Horsepower Oil, and a high-performance transmission fluid. 3.2TL tends to be a little soft as far as ride goes, so try spring/shocks from bilstein, comptech, or edelbrock. Also Bridgestone Potenza, Michelin Exalto, or Nitto INVO tires will help in the ride/handling department.

you should change the order of what you want to do with your car to: be faster [along with that, it'll sound cooler], then look cool. engine: let it breathe. intake, headers, exhaust. or force induce it, either turbocharge or supercharge. looks: rims [no chrome, personal opinion...but they're heavy (why spend money to increase performance only to put hella heavy wheels on it?)...go with light weight wheels]. find a body kit you like, but nothing too wild [again, my personal opinion...jdm looks are always clean]. lower your car maybe 1" to 1.5". oh! and if you do get a body kit, please paint it to match your car.
