I've heard that it might have major transmission probs and the repairs are expensive, but i've read nothing but good reviews for the car on edmunds.comso in the end is it a reliable car? it wont break down easily will it?

nah they are pretty good cars from what i hear. They are basically made by honda (gmc - chevy) you know what i mean. so i wouldnt worry to much about it

Well back then it was reliable, but a 1992 car is already 16 yrs old, so no telling how many things can be wrong with it now, I have a 1989 Legend coupe that I use to run around with but I won't ever take it on long trips because it may conk out on me anytime, but it was very reliable and trouble free when I got 12 yrs ago

My 94 has never left me stranded. But as I explained in your other "post" . These cars are very expensive to maintain - even if you venture into repair it yourself. They also require premium gas 91 or higher octane (no 87).The complaint most often heard about the Acura Legend is its "lame" one cup holder. Sucks to be the passenger!!!!!Oh, and only use Genuine Honda parts - cheap rebuilt Au_oz_n_ parts are just that - cheap. You will spend more time re-doing work because of the quality of these inferior parts.

hey are extremely reliable- I've seen some of that vintage with over 300,000 miles on them. Repairs can be expensive ( but not always) since you are buying a premium level car and they run on Premium gas. To give you an idea, it's replacement is the Acura RL- which cost around $40-$45K; Which is the cost of it's competitor, the BMW 5 series. Legends are good cars and very reliable.
