Default Is this price too much for this car? 1991 Acura Legend....?

It has 220,000 miles on it. The car itself has a few minor dings on it and it looks like it may need new tires soon, they are asking $2500.00 cash. I think that is way too much for the mileage but my fiance doesn't think so. Any ideas? If you think it is too much and I could jew them down, what price do you think would be sufficient? Thanks.

i would go for it. too many miles, probably wont last much llonger. not only that but it is old, which mean not much gas mileage. its not antique so i would say no more than 1500.

Ask for another $500 off because of the tires. But I'd really avoid that car anyway. It's 17 years old and has 220K miles on it. It sounds like it's ready for retirement. I could be wrong. It may indeed go another 100K miles. But it's a huge gamble. G'luck!

depends on the shape of the car/ extra stuff done to it. id have to see it, but id say yeah they are asking a little much for it with all that mileage. i suggest you look it up on kelly blue book and if its lower there offer that price to those jews =]

$250 is to much. That thing is worn and ready to die. Pass.

Kelley Blue Book rates it at just under $2,500 in "Fair" condition. I would offer $2,000.

I'd like for a different car if I were you. That is way too many miles to be paying that much. You'd end up paying to repair this and that shortly after purchasing the car. You could get yourself a Honda or a different Acura car with over 100,000 for around that much, just have to look around a bit. Good luck car hunting.

With 220,000 miles, yeah, that is a little much, unless it's in flawless condition, or it's a manual transmission (rare and sought after). If it is completely ****ing gorgeous, or it is a mantran, that's not a bad deal.

The Legend is a pretty reliable car, but there are so many potential extra costs of owning this car that it won't even be worth it. It's not in production, so finding replacement parts should you ever need them (you probably will) will be difficult. Like everyone else previously mentioned, 220K miles means this car is nearing its last days, unless perhaps you would only be using it for short trips.I suggest going with a Honda Accord Sedan or Toyota Camry in the '93-'96 age range. Good luck!!
