im considering buying one of these a few days after i graduate high school to drive to work and college. I want to have something nice and reliable and somewhat fast that i can drive around in with my friends and dates ect i think this is a pretty nice car. has anyone ever owned one or drivin it how is it?im looking at this onehttp://autos.yahoo.com/used-cars/acu...a&picstart=1in general how is this car? what would you rate it on a 1-10

This would be a PERFECT car to get. Its really nice and reliable. I think that it will suit whatever you want to use it for.

I agree with the other guy. I love those cars. I'd get the CL because I'd rather a coupe.

TL's have had transmission problems. Go to http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/ where you can research service bulletins, recalls and complaints on the 03 TL.

Stay Away!!!! Nothing but transmission problems, especially on the Type S. And the 03 is not covered under the extended warranty - www.hondatransmissionsettlement.com I have an 01 TL (not type S) and I've replaced the transmission twice in the past 25,000 miles. Or go with the smaller TSX. If I had it to do over again I would have gotten a Lexus ES 330 - similar car, but a bit more expensive (because it has a better track record). I love my Acura, but I'm only keeping it cause its paid for and I don't drive much. I could not recommend a TL (or CL - same problems) made from 00-03 to anyone else.

If you wanna go through 5 transmissions before hitting 100k miles then yes, that is the perfect reliable car... Go ahead and flag this post... I know the truth hurts!

With 112k miles, the only thing I would ask is if the transmission has been replaced - other than that, if it was, your fine.The transmission may be gone and will go, don't let the dealer fool you!

I have driven it. It is fast and fun to drive and it is very reliable. I have driven the Acura Blue Type-S. I like the Acura Blue color that they use on their race cars. i think that color is the best choice. This car is hard to find cheap. I would rate it a 10/10.

I'm a freshman in college and I just got an 04 RSX and I love it. Its handling is amazing and it'll save cash at the pump..I don't reccommend a TL with so many miles on it..
