I don't understand your question. What is still on?

You mean the 'check engine' light? I heard that with the computers on cars these days, if the loose gas tank lid was the problem, you have to start and stop the car like over 1000 times for the light to go off again, or take it to the shop who can reset the computer.Not an expert, but that's what my mother in law was told about her mazda when it happened to her.

is tha car still on? turn tha key to tha off position. if your talkin bout tha light take it to autozone and have them hook tha OBD to it and erase tha codes or you could reset everything and disconnect tha battery but its up to you do u like to set tha clock on tha radio ect....

If the engine light is still on, you probably have an actual problem to be pin-pointed by your dealer.
