id normally say the type s cuz i know it'll last a while and its an acura.the srt-4 came with f/i from the factory. neither cars are made in the u.s. anymore so some research on them to see about problems they have had and fuel economy and anything else you want to find out about them

If you think that the "hideous, feminine, rental-car" image best compliments your style, then go with the neon. If you seek to spend way too much money on a product manufactured by a corporation who holds the reputation for vomitting out some of worlds most poorly engineered crap, again, go with the neon. An RSX is without question a better product, but if you want something comparable to the srt4 look into a Subaru STi or a Mitsubishi Lancer evolution. Not only are both a better product, but they get more respect in the industry, look MUCH better, and best of all, you'll be having thrice as much nasty sex with the pretty girls at the office than you would otherwise being seen buckling your seatbelt in a f'in NEON after work! srt4 or not it will always be a NEON

in three years the neon will be worth 5k wile the rsx will still be worth 10+kfor example the 05 neon is only three years old and it lost allmost 1/2 its valuewile the rsx is 5 years old and its only lost about 33%ok now lets talk about when you hit 100k milesthe rsx will still have the 200hp that it came with wile the neon you would have gone thru a new turbo maybe even a blow head gasket or even motor.there are soooo many aftermarket parts for the acura and everyone knows that american cars are not what they used to be!

Yup, agree with those voting for the RSX S. The SRT4 is an interesting niche market car...a "poor man's" street racer that suffers from being built upon the entry level Dodge Neon chassis. The Neon's a respectable car for it's down & dirty market segement...competes against 2nd & 3rd tier Asian imports. What the SRT4 lacks is build quality, reliability, refinement, & class. What it delivers is a 'measure' of linear acceleration on the cheap. But count on the SRT4 'giving up the ghost' long before Acura hints of any distress. And a 10K odo SRT4 is half way to problems, whereas a 35K odo RSX S is hardly broken in. The Acura's a substantially better buy all the way around...IMO.
