Default I'm Confused???

Ok so some people said that a 2000 Honda Accord EX 4 cyl coupe with a 5 Speed Manual is faster than a 1997 Acura 3.0CL V6 with an automatic. How many people think that is false? I mean 150 vs. 200? and If that were true, wouldnt a 4cyl. Accord be faster than a V6 Accord?

It's probably not true. But that accord with the 5 speed is fairly quick for what it is. 0-60 times might actually be close, but after that the v-6 Acura would pull away.

No way. I used to work for Honda. The Accord V6 is faster than the 4 cyl. Accord 5 speed and auto. So the CL is faster also.

probably not true BUT ... with a five speed, in a quarter mile you can shift more effeciently and the accord and the accord ( if it was one of the few EX with the four ) would also be considerably lighter... A good driver in that Accord might be able to scare up that Acura but i wouldn't think it would be faster...

If you're talking about top speed, the V6 takes it. The Accord has 152 lbs torque versus 195 lbs from the CL. They weigh almost the same (2900-3000 lbs) I say the CL is faster.
