There has to be a serial number on it somewhere. Keep looking for it. You must have that info to know what year and what type of car it is from. If you can't find it take it to a shop and have one of their techs find it for you. Otherwise take it back from where you got it for a full refund.

send me a url of a picture of the engine, I'll tell you if GSR or not. I have '92 GSR and if the cam cover is not painted over, it's black with VTEC in big letters. Looking at front of engine (dip stick), the oil cover is on left side of engine cover.
