Airbag! Take it to a dealer if it stays on! It means that it is not working.

SRS light is your saftey restraint system. There are several possiblities as why this light is on. Normally on these cars its either the opds unit or a seatbelt buckle that has gone bad in the vehicle. If it is the opds unit, then american honda will cover the repair for 10 years or 100,000 miles which ever comes first from the original date of purchase. This is only on vehicles that have a clean title. To be sure, i would take it to an acura dealer and have the vehicle diagnoised. most dealers will charge a diagnoisis fee ( around $45.00). If you leave the light on and dont get it fixed, if for some reason you get into an accident, your airbags will not deploy because there is a faulty part in the system. i would take it to the dealer as quick as possible.

It stands for the airbag. It should be on when you start the car, but it should go off soon. If it doensnt, theres probably a defect which can affect the safety of the airbags...the dealer might be a good place to go for that.

Sounds like you need a real Acura tech. SRS lite on hummmLet me guess,I'd say 9-3 drivers buckle open or short. Which with Honda/Acura vehicles is covered under warranty as long as the vehicle can drive into the dealer and does not have a totaled vehicle title. They will probably ask for check out fee until they read the code. Hope this helps.Good Luck
