is ls/vtec hybrid setup illegal to drive in CA?

What? Most, if not all cars have variable valve timing (vtect) these days, including hybrids.

unless your car (vehicle) is actively smoking or can't pass the smog test....or is WAY too low, it's legal to drive in CA. (but don't test the patience of the cops or CHiP's...they don't like jokers.)

no it perfectly legal to go ls/vtec jus have the paper or copy in the in case you ge pulled and YOU LET them check under ur hood so they know that u legally got the parts. then they will contact who u bought it from to see if its stolen. any question email me. and you have to pass smog
