Default should i trade in my integra for a 03 civic?

ok, i own a 1994 acura integra gs, its got 194,000 miles, a small oil leak, and a small radiator fluid leak, otherwise in good condition. im currently looking at a 2003 honda civic ex with 85,000 miles, in great condition. now the civics selling for 9k, but if i trade in my acura it will only cost me 5-6k, is it worth it?

I think it would be. Your going up 9 years in year model and going down in mileage. Another thing to consider is the cost of repairs. A small oil leak usually turns into a bigger one and will need to be repaired. This could run between $1000 and $1500.

I will be totally honest as the Em2 is not worth 9k. I myself am looking to purchase the exact same car and in California you cannot turn a corner and not find one @ a dealership for under 7k. The EM2 has several problems with the transmission in 01-02 and supposedly they have been worked out by 03. I have always worked on my own Honda's so this won't detour me. Make sure the car has all records for everyone of those 85k miles. And remember, talk price. Then talk about the trade in price. Good luck with your purchase.

Love Both Integras and Civics but if you want hp, the Civic Ex is probaly going to get you 127 hp, where the integra is already over 160 stock. I would look into an Civic SI or RSX Type S.

I have a 94 Integra LS and about 140,000 miles on it. The B18B engine in your Integra, if maintained well, should last up to 300,000 - 400,000 miles. You are definitely going to feel a loss of power if you get the civic. You go from 142HP to 127HP.
