ammco transAcura is more expensive, and the wait time will be longer. But check around with warranties.

Are you sure its going or does it just need a filter change and a fluid flush?? I would go to a indepent tranny shop before either of them two.

If it's a manual trans and is shifting hard, go to the dealer for syncro rings, bearings and have them check the gears for chipped teeth. If it's an automatic, the least expensive thing to do if the transmission is bad is replace it with a low mileage used unit. Any good repair shop should be able to handle the swap, hunt for the best estimate.

Get an 8 Ball shake it and go with what it says. Either way, you are going to pay big $$$s.

I just rebuilt the auto trans in my 2003 TL-S for $2600 incl. tax at an independent shop. 12 month, 12,000 mile warranty. Dealership wanted $3750 plus tax.
