Default To Any Acura RSX owners?

I'm looking at purchasing a 2003 Acura RSX. Unfortunately its not an "S" model. Does any one own one or had any bad experiences with them that I should know about?

Very good car, if you can get one with a manual transmission. I've owned one for 5 years and never had a problem. Handling is very good, but you can improve it by adding a strut brace.

I've never owned one but it's an Acura so it shouldn't have any problems. As always with a second hand car, even if its a Honda/Acura, you should get it checked out first had by a mechanic you trust.

2003-2006 have std tranny problems....(2nd gear) so don't buy a std, unless it's been repaired...( see re-calls for Acura )

Imagine buying a Civic and add $10,000 worth of toys and performance parts. Now put a grill with a logo that looks like a special tool to remove fuses and there you have it, is not worth the effort to have one. Another hyped up Honda Civic (Civic R Type)

Don't pay the RSX unless it is the Type S. The RSX base comes with a 5 speed and has only 165 hp, when the Type S comes with the 6 speed and 200 hp. BIG difference. I had the the Type S and never had any problems. Loved it and cried when I traded it in. I will buy another one again or will get the TL Type S

I have the same car (RSX 03 5spd) the only thing i can say about it honestly is the second gear (it grinds at times and almost pops out when the RPMS are high) and the vibrations in the car (insulation is bad) other than that i am very happy with the car and enjoy driving it, its quick and the best part is it can easily be modded to your liking (if your into that thing )

Default Re: To Any Acura RSX owners?

I have a set of 18" axis seven mods for sale, they are a polish silver finish, little tiny bit of curb rash, but nothing noticeable. Also they come with tires, 3 of the tires are practically brand new and the 4th one still has about 60 percent tred left. You can have these rims on your car for $600 plus the cost of shipping. You can call me at (601)529-8871 or email me

Also I was about to order some new rims, but i dont know cause I really dont know the offset of my rsx, can someone please tell me. Also The rims I was thinking about purchasing are a offset of 35 would that be fine.
