my brother bought a base rsx auto, and wants to upgrade the tranny to a type-s 6 speed... looking for good advice, not anyone who wants to be rude...

if you don't know how to do it yourself it's going to get pricey. you're going to need to drill out the trans mount and install the mount from the manual RSX to mount the transmission. You're also going to need the brake master cylinder, the shifter cables, the shifter box, clutch fluid lines, etc.. It's really a lot more work than it's worth if you're going to have a shop do it. it's very labor intensive.To be completely honest, you're better off selling your car, and buying a manual base RSX, or better yet, splurge a little bit and pick up a type-S and be happy.

Honestly man, tell you brother he will be better off trying to get a type S RSX, b/c after he does all of the config's to try and make it a type s, he would have spent way over the price of a type s.
