Default Do Acuras need to use Premium gas?

Will they run fine on regular? Is it just some models that use premium? Just something I heard.

No, premium is a waste of money unless the manufacturer recommends it. You won't get any better performance or gas mileage with premium vs regular.Save your cash- use regular...

Most car makes run on petrol. This includes Acuras. For gas, reader has three types of fueling:1. Natural gas. See Honda Civic GX Model.2. Liquid propane gas. See modification of any engine designproduced before 1985.3. Dual fueling which offers choice of engine run on factory petrol tank and an alternate fuel such as LPG.Be advised United States Government is quietly replacingits entire petrol fueled public administration fleet vehicleswith LPG and dual fuel conversions; Ford Ranger Modelbeing the most common staff vehicle of choice.

Yes, for some models such as the Integra GS-R or Integra Type-R. If you do not use premium, then the ECU will sense detonation and your timing will be rolled back. Basically, if you use Premium gas, your VTEC will engage a lot stronger.

i own a 06 acura tsx for 13 months, bought new. it has almost 33,000 miles. It averages 32-35 MPG. the best was 42.8 and the worst was 27.4. I use regular gas-more than enough power.

car should run fine w/ regular. despite what some folks might say, the crap 91 octane that Ca has is just that, crap! save your money & just get regular...in regards to that M3 that was mentioned, you don't need to use high octane for that either..I use regular unleaded on my M5 and all is well.... and if you really wanna be anal, check out this month's issue of EuroTuner coz the red M3 that's supercharged on the cover is friend of mine's and he uses regular...just coz you drive an M3 doesn't mean you can "look down" on others pal...my daily driver's an '03 Acura CLS 6 speed...

Most of the Acura high end trim level cars prefer premium. This is mainly because of the higher performance engines in those cars. If you don't use it, the computer retards(slows down) your engine timing so it doesn't ping, this results in loss of power. Most of the base models can use regular fuel. So, NO, not all Acuras require premium fuel.

depends on the model. I've used regular on my integra gsr, then I got the motor rebuilt and I use premium...that is what the manufacture recomends too, I just didn't use it before.
