I bought the 97 integra about 6 months ago. Is it normal for an integra's steering to be a little hard? If not, then what could be the problem?

Had you checked the power steering fluid level ?? If its low, that can cause hard steering.

no fluid in the power steering...bad pump for the power steering...wrong sized tires...Integras shouldn't be hard to steer, they aren't that big. (and they're front wheel drive).

You have 1 of 3 problems or a combination there of. It's either your rack and pinion is out, the power steering fluid is low, or the power steering pump is bad. Also check to see that it even HAS a power steering pump, most "tuner" guys tend to think by removing the power steering assembly they are going to get ALOT of HP, but it only adds 1-2 HP.
