Default Integra's axil?

So, the 'Maintainance required' has been blinking in my integra. I took it to the shop, and the mechanic told me that the axil needs to be replaced. The problem is that it's very costly, and my parents are advising me to just buy a newer car instead wasting money on the 97 teg. How long will the teg hold till I have to replace the axil?

no thats Axl...an axle is the correct spelling...well that depends you wish to drive the car or just let it sit ??? either get the thing fixed or get a new car...everything is relative. If you can't pay for the repairs, don't own the car...

LMAO..Your name is Drift and you have a FWD? Drift spells axle wrong.Jeep spells Axl wrong. Chrys spells Axle wrong.Replacing an axle shouldn't cost more than $80. You should be able to change an axle by yourself, http://www.raxles.com/installation.aspxmaybe with the help of some drift friends for under $50.If you buy a newer car it'll eventually need costly repairs. If you don't want to pay for repairs, get a new Hyundai with a 10 year warranty. If it's not making any noise when you turn, you should be good, if the boot's torn, the grease will come out and dirt will get in and destroy the cv joint but you'll still be able to drive it for a while.
