There is no pickup for the second gear on my RSX. It seems so much more slower than every other gear and its not as responsive. Can anyone explain this and let me know what needs to be done to resolve it?

Go to http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/ where you can research service bulletins, recalls and complaints to see if you have a remedy.

If you shift out of 1st too early the revs drop too much and the motor doesn't make much power. also, with peak power of 160hp for the base car and 200hp for the type s version there just isn't an insane amount of power there to begin with, so that is almost certainly the root cause of this issuethe best thing to do to resolve this is to get a car with more horsepower

I'd get it checked out by an acura dealership. hopefully its still under warrantee and you won't have to pay a fortune for a new tranny or a rebuild.

yea the rsx 2nd geas is going i notice it all my riends has rsx tytps and 2nd laggs very bad. the car is quick but there might be a mfg problem or a lazy assembly job..

Acura has some tranny problems for the RSX-S's 2003-2006...take it to the dealer and let them take care of it, they know whats wrong.the 2002 has NO 2nd gear problems.
