The Speed limit varies from 55 to 70 mph on the freeway. Why do you care which one gets there the fastest? People like you are a danger for the rest of us. You need to worry about mpg not quarter mile speeds. With your mind set you are going to hurt someone.

The Saab 9000 Aero did 0-60 in about 6.5 seconds, according to Motor Trend. Car and Driver tested a 2003 Acura 3.2TL Type -S and got 0-60 in 6.0. BUT Car and Driver routinely gets better figures in their tests than the other magazines. If the Acura is not a Type-S, I would think the Saab would be a tiny bit faster to 60, but they are very close and both are very fast for their class.

The Saab 9000 turbo in 97 was availible with four turboengines, B204E (150hp/215Nm), B234E (170hp/260Nm), B234L (200hp/232Nm or 294Nm for automatic) and B234R (225hp/342Nm). B234R was not availible with automatic gearbox.0-60 TL 7.7http://www.edmunds.com/used/2000/acu...specs.html0-60 9000 Aero 0-60 7.1http://www.edmunds.com/used/1997/saa...277/specs.html

TL. When car magazines get their figures, they "torque brake" which means they hit the gas and brake at the same time and then quickly let off the brake for a good launch. For a turbocharged car like the Saab, this means a lot of difference since in real world driving the turbo would take a while to spool up, giving the V6 Acura a hell of an advantage. Unless you're talking WRX or Evo, usually a V6 > Turbo 4.

Depending on the driver. Honda engine needs super high rpm to take a breath, were as saab engine are full on overwhelming low end torque. Shift the saab at 4000rpm and bye bye 3.2 TL ! Rev the saab in the red and the Acura will finally beat it. You cannot compare so drastically different cars. I owned 4 saab 9000 (2 actually) and one Acura Vtec ... I'll never buy acura again ... no power ... by the time you reach the Vvtec rpm, the saab is far away ! 5000-7000 rpm (Vtec) is useless on dayly basis as much as 4800rpm (max torque). were as a saab 97 with a 4 cyl gives you 252 ft/lbs of torque at 1800rpm. if you drive it by the torque, you'll need a nsx to beat it !!!
