The real problems are 00-03. I haven't noticed any on the newer models. However when I researched buying my 01 TL in 2005 I didn't read that much about the trans problem - in fact Consumer Reports still listed the 00-03 TL's as a good buy. Well I bought one, and have had the trans replace twice in 25k miles. As soon as the powertrain warranty runs out next year I'm trading this car. Acura's service has been good, but I really don't want to risk another one of their vehicles.So please do your research diligently and dont' rely on Consumer Reports. If you see anything that alarms you, don't buy. Good luck!
