Cost and time to rebuild or replace an auto transmission for a 1990 Acura Legend?
Would it be better to rebuild the tranny or replace it with a rebuilt one or a new one? I do plan to keep the car for the next 5 years. I have a Honda shop who repairs transmissions, but would it be better to take it to a AAMCO shop?

the car is quite old, so unless its in rare shape and lower miles for a honda motor i wouldnt even bother.u can buy another legend for the price of a rebuild. if u really wanted to, go to car-part.com, buy a junkyard tranny thats tested most junkyards will give u some sort of warranty...then have it put in. my friend saved big money by gettin a tranny at a junkyard. it costed him 150.
