Default my dad has a second-hand 1996 acura 2.5 tl, why is acting like such a ford?!?

right after he bought it, the window seals started leting in air, making an annoying sound, then the console between the front seats came unbolted so you can pick it up, and the coin tray broke. also, the check engine light is always on due to an oxygen sensor, and the sunroof stopped opening fully! why is it acting like such an old ford or chevy?!actually BTW the switch is not faulty on the sunroof, it opens halfway and then gets stuck, i think it's debris in the track actually, and the car is not neglected, the window seals on my two 1991 cars are fine, so i think that a 1996 "luxury" car should be as well. also i thought oxygen sensors were not supposed to wear out really, i have only seen fords have that problem.oh, and the windows roll up slower and the motors are noisier than most cars i have seen, and they jiggle as they roll up.and guys please stop assuming stuff, a new tl is not $30,000, ours was $8000, not $5000, and also the oxygen sensor alone was over $400, to fix everything still won't cost more except maybe the sunroof, but it's still annoying. also, i live in canada, where our money is now worth more than the United States', but stuff still costs more.

Dud you are an ignorant, cars are cars. Quality is the same for all makes is what costs more to make that people get bitter about because they can't afford it, and in turn talk bad about. Tell me what 96 Ford would you compare to a 96 2.5tl, I would compare the Taurus and is one of the most reliable vehicles still on the road today, it also cost about 2,000 grand more just because it cost more to make, and not everyone could buy one. so there enjoy your ignorance..................

Well, that is a pretty old car, so don't be surprised that you have some problems, so far sounds like only about $500 worth are needed, so stop complaining and get it fixed. If you wanted new car quality/warranty then put out the extra $30,000 for a new TL instead of the $5K your dad paid for his old TL. With that in mind, of course you will have some repairs to make, but that's why you didn't pay much for the car in the first place.

Welcome to the world of overpriced Hondas. I had a Prelude and was the biggest POS I ever drove to the point that I hate Hondas with passion.By the way, the best running cars I ever had always been GMs. I had few Chevys and they run like no end to them. I would by the Ford comparison but Chevy? I do not think so... I could say your POS Acura runs like POS Honda.
