does anybody know if the obd2 rs integras cabin harness' are wired for the vtec engines? i'm not talking about the engine harness (not the wiring that goes to the engine after the plug on the shock tower, but the plug/wiring that goes to the inside of the car)ok i forgot to say, i have a whole complete car its a 94 integra gsr four door running and all.

No, they're not. So if you were to use a vtec engine side harness (with a vtec engine swapped in), you'd have to match up the pins on the shock tower plug & wire it to the ecu from there.

No its not. That is why I told you previously to get the B18C wiring harness. It's not as simple as just hooking up a wire. You have to have the B18C ECU, and the correct wiring for the engine. The easiest way is to just break down and buy the harness for the motor. The ECU tells the VTEC at what RPM to kick in. The pinout for the LS and the GSR motor is totally different. You can either spend a week trying to get the wiring figured out and if one wire is wrong BOOM bye-bye engine. What the wiring harness and the ECU will do is allow the ECU to tell the VTEC solenoid when to activate. If i remember correctly there are something like 37 wires that need to be switched on the stock ECU pinout if you try to rewire it. All you need to do is A: get a GSR wiring harness from a OBD1 vehicle because the motor is OBD1. B: get a ECU from a OBD1 GSR. C: unplug you main harness from the main fuse box D: plug the OBD1 harness in. E: get a OBD2 to OBD1 harness for the ECU F: plug in the conversion harness for the ECU. G: make sure car runs OK and H: sit back relax hit the gas and enjoy the fun world of VTEC.
