It will cost a lot, even with your parent's policy. Males don't even go down much after age 25. You will get a car which you may tend to get speeding tickets with. I will recommend the following as I have seen a few other questions you've asked about cars.If your folks are going to get you a new car now, why not ask to wait until you are a sophomore in college? Then you won't graduate college with a 6-7 year old car without warranty (unless you will get another new car) and you are in a low paying job? If you want speed now, get a used VTEC Civic or Impreza and use a small amount of money to tune it. You will get more bang for your buck. Think beyond this year and "Your Super Sweet Sixteen".

Honestly, that's like saying, how much is a house? There are all kinds of different insurances ranging from the most basic liability policy that pays out if you damage someone's property or injure someone. Then you get ones that cover damage you do to your own vehicle. Then you get really fancy ones that do all that, and give you additional protections and higher limits on payouts, along with a lower deductible (the portion of the claim you have to pay if you claim). Then they will take into account your gender, and where you live. Since some areas have a higher risk than others. You should be able to go to any major insurance web site and get a reasonable idea of what they want to charge.

Depends on where you live, your driving record, and some other factors. If you have an insurance agent call them and ask - they give that information all the time. Also check progressive or one of the bigger online insurance companies.I will tell you this from my experience - insurance comanies look at safety features of a car (like air bags and such) and they look at horsepower. In other words - newer cars are usually safer in an accident - which cuts down on insurance costs. And th higher the horepower the faster you can go and the more likely you'll get in an accident - which means higher insurance premiums. I took a hit when I went from a hampster-powered Nissan to a 225 hp Acura. But the safety features helped bring the rates down a little bit. My driving record didn't help much either, but hopefully you are smarter than me
