You don't need to build one from scratch there are plenty of kits out there for the integra. The big question is is what year and type of integra you have. here's a link to about 10 kits for most integra types. Oh and if its a type R don't turbo it they have to high of a compression ratio to make it a cost effective upgrade.http://www.turbo-kits.com/integra_turbo_kits.html

i hate to break it to you but cheap and aftermarket turbocharging don't go together in the same sentence. The cost of the kit is only one aspect. You will have to purchase dyno time and pay a tuner to tune your vehicle, you will have to upgrade other parts such as the clutch, and you will have to have a 'slush fund' in place to replace the miscellaneous things that you will break or wear out with the additional power. i think in total you should budget around $5000 for the entire conversion.your best option to ask people who have turbocharged the exact same car that you own, and get their input on things on which kit to purchase. honda-tech.com is a great resource for such research.also, you should be on the looking for integras on sale in the used car market that have already been turboed. this could be a great deal because the car will sell for much less than what you would pay to purchase the parts yourselflastly, you should look into purchasing another car. in the late 90s modifying an integra was a great idea because there were so few fast cars on the market. these days there are so many fast stock import cars such as the mazdaspeed 3, STi, EVO and SRT4, it is definitely worth your time to think about how much this modification will cost, and whether your money is better spent on getting another vehicle

Well, I'll put it to you like this, If you want a cheap turbo kit, you wil spend more in the long run trying to get it running than if you just spent the $3,500 for a Greddy, or Turbonetics kit. I work at a tuner shop that has been in business since 1993, and have currently worked there for 8 years. We have had numerous people come in with the "cheap" kits like the ones on Ebay for $800. By the time we get all the necessary parts, fuel management, and fabrication done they have usually spent about $4,500-$5,500 not including the normal labor rate. The Greddy and Turbonetics kits have EVERYTHING you need right down to the little brass fittings for the oil lines. Plus the manifolds on the "cheap" kits are very prone to breaking. We had a customer that had to replace his "cheap" turbo 4 times before he broke down and bought a Greddy turbo. Just remember that 99% of turbos that are of high quality and will not break easily are in the $800-$1,500 range just for the turbo, so if you see a "complete" kit for $800 WALK AWAY FAST!!

well the cheapest option is to go to a junkyard, but if you do not have any welding, bending, and other metal working abilities then that is out of the question. Because the cheapest option is to consider the sizing of the turbo, find a gently used one of a car at a junkyard. Custom make the piping (exhaust and intake), and intercooler, fuel needs, then buy a good hondata system and someone who knows how to tune. If you're looking for big power you are going to have to replace the internals. Depending on the effiency of the turbo you can safely run up to 10psi on a ls and a pound or two less for the vtec bretheren as long as tuning is conservative and proper. But usually if you don't have the ability it is best to find a trusted manufacterer of turbos and buy one of their kits, and have it tuned. The kit will depend on what you are planning on doing. I would find a reputable shop and have them help you out based on your needs and your budget.
