No, an Acura costs alot to repair accident damage. Other than that they are fine cars.

well they are expensive. Hopefully your son is paying for it at least half so he can appreciate it. If its his first car i would go for something a little less nice. But if its not the first then i would say it is a great car. It's sexy, low maintainence, good performance, mpg, safety. Very good well rounded car.

I think it is a great car for a kid of that age. I had the TL for a couple of years from new, and it was fine. The TSX is based on the very reliable European Honda Accord (smaller than the US model). It is slower than the TL, which is a good idea.Frankly, he should be very pleased with such a car.

I have a 2004 Acura TSX and I love it. I did a great deal of research on cars before I bought it and all arrows pointed to this car. I'm sure safety is important to you and I can say with conviction that this car is sturdy and constructed with integrity. I'm also sure looks is important to your 19 year old son. I think a 19 year old would love this because it is a sports car but also practical. It is roomy enough so he can put his college stuff in the backseat and trunk (laundry, stolen milk crates, etc.). It drives well in all weather conditions if he's the type to enjoy road trips. But the other guy is right - mainenance is not cheap. My last 45K mile checkup resulted in about $1500 in service and parts. However, I'm sure your son will have a job to maintain it. He is lucky enough to have a parent like you to get him this car!

sorry but i am against parents buying cars for their children. i think they would be more responsible if they have to save and pay for their own cars or at least their own insurance. it is your money so yes a tsx would be great but a normal 19 year old would want a faster car. a mazda-speed 3, suburu wrx, or mitsubishi evo.

They are good cars. but they are not really for younger people. Something like a 2 door. a Honda civic. but if that is the car you are thinking of i say go for it. it is a great car.

I am 20 and just got an 07 TSX. I don't think it is a good first car for him. Gas is high & maintain cost alot. Unless he drives like a pro, he could get into an accident. My first car was a brand new honda civic 2 door. I had it for 3 yrs.
