Well i own a 2005 Acura TSX. I love the car and its a really smooth ride. I bought a new set of rims n tires about 4 months ago. I put them on when i got them and it didnt change anything in the performance of the car. Last week i started to notice a screeching coming from the back tires. At first it was very brief. It happened while i was driving, i didnt have to touch the brakes. Now yesterday it kept making this screeching for almost 20 minutes while i was driving without stopping. I read online and it appeared it could be my rotors or brake pads! i took it to the mechanic and he said the rotors n brake pads look fine. Also recently i noticed my car would shake a little when slowing down from higher speeds (50-80MPH)I dont know if thats related to this problem or what! i think that could just need to be an alignment. But other then that can someone please provide me with some info on this problem im having or suggestions.....!!!!!!

Brake pads need replacing,

it definitely sounds like its the brakes, however if you took it to a shop and they told you it was fine, i would never go back there again...bc obviously something is wrong, i would start off by checking the rear brakes yourself, make sure there isnt any uneven wear or grinding problems, then if there isnt check the wheel bearings, if youre not comfortable with doing any of it yourself, take it to a honda/acura dealership and they will be able to fix everything for you(or you could try to find an independent honda certified tech)
