You might be able to get a 04/05 for 25k w/ 50k miles or so. Brand new you're looking closer to 40 after options, delivery and TTL. I am 6"1 and drive an RSX. Fit no problem. I got a new TL as a rental when mine was in the shop, I wanted to trade mine in! You'll fit just fine. Only car I'd suggest over that depending on your taste is a G35 sedan, '04. Very similar maybe a little more luxury. Good luck!

I owned a 2001 Acura TL, loved the car, but discovered after a few years it had a chronic transmission problem. At 59,000 miles the transmission died and needed replacing. However, Honda of America stood behind the car and replaced it for free. I had a loaner for two weeks since I was fifth in line at the dealership for a transmission replacement (four other cars were in the shop before mine). Apparently, through the 2003 auto year all TLs have a chronic trasmisssion problem, and Honda covered them all for 100,000 miles. However, there is no fix for that transmission so it will fail again prematurely out of warranty. After 2003 there is no problem so you should be okay if you purchase a used car after that model year. For your other question, you may want to test drive the car before purchasing since head space is a little constrained with the sunroof.

You are going to get an old TL for this price, perhaps 2005 at best. The problem I have with picking a TL right now is that the body shape changes next year. This means your shiny new car, will look clunky and old inside of 12 months, something that will have a horrible impact on residuals.Personally, if I were looking in that price range I'd consider a Nissan Altima or the new Honda Accord. For your budget you could buy new in either of those cars, so you would have a full brand new warranty and not be dealing with a used car.As for other reasons I didn't like the TL (I had mine for two years), I found the ride boring, than handling unremarkable, the traction poor, and it had an annoying rattle they could never fix. I switched to a BMW which was an infinitely better driving experience. Maybe you should take a look at a certified pre-owned 3 series too when you are car shopping. You'll recognise the improved driving experience almost right away.
