Got to a shop that specializes with suspension and have them take a look at it.

On the TL's the tires usually rub on the bumper cover tab. The tab is located on the inside of the fender where the bumper cover meets the fender. Just run your hand along the edge and you'll feel it. There's a screw holding them together but the tab sticks out and rubs on the tire. You can trim off about 1/2" with a Dremel tool or something similar without affecting the integrity of the mounting tab.

You have to reinforce the struts. There is not enough wheel travel space on this model. You can invest in cheap ones at an autoparts that are spring helpers........ Or, buy new struts with air adjustable travel....

This is why you don't waste your money doing that.First you put on the wrong sized wheel that will probably mess up your instruments. Second you are now going to have to mess with the suspension which will mess up the handling. So you have spent a bunch of money and all you have to show for it is messed up instruments, and a car that doesn't handle as well.As an added bonus, when you come to sell it, the buyer will assume you are a boy racer and give you less trade in for the car.

Maybe a camber kit would help. Or get new, stiffer suspension.

Stolsai has the only "correct" answer here. I cut the tabs on my TL so the 18's wouldn't rub also. Use a dremmel as suggested and you will be fine.
