FYI...there is no such car engine as a v4. It is a 4 cylinders in a line, not in a V formationIt is a 2.0 liter, 4 cylinder that has two variations between the base model and the type S.

The Acura RSX engine has a 2.0 liter VTECH (Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control) which puts out 160 hp while the Type S has 210 hp. I have provided a link that i found to be very helpful if you need information on the VTECH

the rsx has an inline 4 cylinder not a v the only company to ever use a v4 (not to be confused with the verticaly aposed or boxter 4 cyclinder used it the wrx and old vw beetles) was ford in europe... plus most hondas (and acura) use 4 cyl and a few v6 motors in all their cars

haha.. Its a inline-4 DOHC i-VTEC.I own a base RSX.. It is not a SOHC. Thumbs up to that. And what I like about this engine is it doesn't use the drive-by-wire method like the Civic's k-series. :]The "i" stands for "intelligent," as people say, but I think it really stands for intake.. cause that's the only change. It only changes the intake valve camshaft. =)
