I have a 1996 2.5TL and I need to find out whether there is a keyless entry remote system in my car or not ? How can I check that. If there is keyless system, how can I get the remote for it?

Your Acura dealer would be best. But if you do know your car came with remote keyless entry, you can go to an auto parts store and buy a universal keyless entry remote.But if you don't have a remote keyless entry, invest in an alarm that has keyless entry that includes rolling code technology. Everytime you lock and unlock your car, the code changes. That way it can't be memorized by those universal keyless entry remotes I mentioned earlier.

the dealer would be the best pleace for a transmitter(remote), but you can find them on ebay real cheap. if your nice, just ask an acura service personnal to print you up the coding procedures for your car, maybe slip him a five. the directions are really easy, but you cant have more than one remote at a time, the code changes every time a programming takes place. oh, almost forgot, go to the dealership and have the vin handy and go to the parts department, and if the car doesnt have it, parts will let you know.
