When you say 'faster', I'm assuming you mean, 'accelerate faster'. The TL as a street sedan has a limiter that insures the vehicle will not exceed a predetermined top speed...I've read that top speed is likley limited to something above 130 mph, but below 140.As far as making your car accelerate faster, a number of the typical performance modifications are available: Cold air induction, headers, performance exhaust, porting the heads, reprogramming the ECM, higher compression pistons, higher lift secondary (VTEC) cams, hotter ignition, aftermarket fuel pump, etc. Comptech is just now ramping up & getting back in business as per before where their supercharger should soon be available (again). You also might want to investigate on the Honda site if your transmission is named in the recent class action lawsuit related to V6 Honda / Acura automatic transmission failures...I'm not certain the '03 is, but it would be worth investigating. It might be wise to forgo mods that substantially boost performance...those could curtail the life of your transmission. BTW, adding an offboard transmission cooler is a good investment when adding substantial horsepower. Also, re acceleration, there are diminishing returns to scale with high output front wheel drive vehicles, especially when launching them from a standing start. Inherent to their design is the fact that the weight shifts rearward, contributing to massive wheel spin & lost traction...this especially from jackrabbit standing starts. For example, the manual transmission version of the new TL Type S should be much closer in its 0-60 time with the Lexus IS350 (AT), but it's not. A lot has to do with the fact that the 286 hp Type S is FWD whereas the 306 hp IS (along w. other similar sport sedans) is RWD.
