My Acura's SRS light has decided to come on and stay on for now about a month. I havent done anything different with my car and nothing has happened to it either. I know if I take it in to get checked they will charge me an arm and a leg and all they will do is probably reset it. is there a way I could do this myself? I know if I reset it and it comes on again in like a day or a week that there might be something wrong with it, at that point I will take it in but no point if it is just computer error right?

Trust me there is something wrong with it. That era of "Honda" products are notorious for srs problems,99% OF THEM WILL BE COVERED BY A DEALER BECAUSE OF THE HIGH FAILURE RATE.CALL YOUR LOCAL DEALER AND SEE WHAT THEY'LL DO. YOU MAY HAVE TO COMPLAIN TO GET ACTION. CHECK TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS, RECALLS ETC.

call the dealer for sure...

There is no such thing as computer's error.When the light comes on,it means something is wrong with the system,so the air bag will not deployed when needed.Have to see the trouble code with a scanner then investigate the problem,then erase the code.HTH
