Default Integra GRS or Prelude?

I'm thinking about buying a used car. 1st time buyer here and there are 2 choices I really like.A 95' Prelude S Coupe for 6,000. It has 138,000 miles on it. It has an engine swap, but dont know what one yet, along with aftermarket ECU and bodykit.OrA 96' Acura Integra GSR Hatchback. It has 93,000 miles on it. New rims and Muffler. Going for 5,000Which one would you buy?

integra gsr, it is a nice small car, and the b series has almost as many aftermarket parts as the small block 350. I'm no fan of bodykits, i'd rather a sleeper. If you live in california it would be a lot harder to pass the prelude if it has a different type of engine. Plus bodykits are begging for cops to pull you over.

My buddy has an 01 prelude and it is pretty nasty! But I love the GSR too! The GSR handles better and is more fun to drive at very high revs, but the prelude is bigger and more practical. IF the prelude has the h22 in it i would go for hte lude

Get the GSR. Since the other has an engine swap in it it was probably raced/abused. since this is your first car you don't need a car that you will be working on every other day. Plus the GSR is newer, less miles, AND cheaper. You can do ALOT on a GSR with the extra $1,000 you save.

I would go with the GS-R 100%. Those Integra's are really nice, and dont forget you get a nice DOHC VTEC engine that revs up to 8k. :P The Prelude has more mileage, but more preformance mods. But more expensive and not worth it.The Integ on the other hand has only 93k (under the 100k ued car rule thing) and has rims and a muffler for less. You can always add more mods to the car. I also love integras. Any Integra espicially the Type-R. And all the GS-R are hatchbacks.

GSR - no question! With 138,000miles, and an engine swap the Prelude equals future dollars. The GSR will save you $1000 straight up. Then the future will be rosier. Check when cambelt changed. New muffler is good. Good luck
