Default On a 2003 Acura TL, does the drivers side outside rear view mirror tilt down when put into reverse ?

I know that the right side outside rear view mirror tilts down when put into reverse. Does the drivers side rear view outside mirror do the same?

Nope, only the passenger side tilts down.

I had an '05 TL. There was a three position switch to adjust the passenger or driver mirror. The middle position did nothing. If the switch was in the middle position it stopped you knocking the control and accidentally adjusting the mirror. When you backed up, nothing happened. But if you left that same switch not in the middle position, but on the left or right, it would cause the selected mirror to dip upon reversing.Try that and see if it works. If not, maybe that feature wasn't present on the '03 model.

I think not. I own an '03 CL Type S which is basically a coupe version TL and it only lowers the passenger mirror in reverse. I know a friend who has an '04 TL and depending on your power mirror setting, you can have either mirror tilt while in reverse.

Only the right side does. Because that way you can see the ground so you don't back into anything while the left one you can pretty much see everything.

I don't know about the TL but in the 2004 Acura MDX the driver's side mirror tilts down and not the passenger's.
