Buy a car with a manual transmission. Dont bother with the Auto to Manual conversion. The parts and labor alone are more than what the car is worth. Not to mention the computer will have to be reprogramed and other mechanical trouble. The addition of a clutch, slave cylinder, pumps, linkage, etc.. Not worth it. Just get a new car that is already a manual.

it will end up costing more money in the long run than buying one that already has manual transmission

it will cost more than the car, the job and the time it's worth. Buying a stick is easier and more econnomical.

To do it correctly counting parts and labor you would be looking at about $8,000.
