what is the difference between acura 3.2 cl type s and acura 3.2 cl?

type-s has a faster engine and better suspension.

The Type S features the same engine basics but with:- higher lift secondary cam lobes- less flow restriction through intake & exhaust- higher redline- higher compression- VTEC engagement RPM increasedBase engine = J32A; Type S = J32BThe Type S also:- has sport tuned suspension...springs & strut upgrades for stiffer ride w. less body roll.- has larger wheels I believe, with upgraded brakesThe HP for the base model was 225, wherease the S model is rated at 260. Around town, both cars will drive quite similar...well behaved & sedate...a very nice 'near luxury' car. The Type S advantages come into their own when the car is 'pushed'.

Throttlebody on the type-s ,Transmission slight difference, wheels,whiteface gauge on the Type-S, Type-S shiftknob, Perforated leather seats on the Type-S, Type-S floormats, red accents on plastic engine cover, wing, and a Type-S badge on the rear decklid.

More power mainly, if your looking at buying a CL, spending a couple extra bucks on a Type-S is worth it.

Acura 3.2CL -225 HPAcura 3.2CL Type-S -260 HPYou get different wheels also.The Type-S will have a sportier suspension and brakes.
