Most cars today use an electric fuel pump mounted in the Gas Tank, the sending unit is combined with the pump. So, I assume it in the fuel tank. Looking under the vehicle up on jack stands you will see where the fuel lines go. Usually about front and center and a little on top. I have had to remove the tank (Usually 2 metal straps) to get to the fuel pump/sending unit.
