the acura rsx-s and the base rsx is diff. in amny ways. 2st of which, the type-s stands for sport. The type-s has 210 horsepower, while the base only has 160. The type-s is bigger and faster. Also, the transmission is diff. The type-s ONLY comes with a 6 speed manual, and the base comes with either an automatic w/ sportshift, or a 5 speed manual. Also, the type-s model redlines at 8000RPM while the base redlines somewhere around 6000. The type-s has better suspension, 6 disc cd changer with BOSE sound, while the base has the reg. suspension for an RSX with a 1 disc CD changer.Hope that answers it.

The Type-S is a Sports package. Simply, the car has better performance, better braking, and a firmer ride and costs a few thousand more.

Many things make it different. The engine is modified for more power, the tranny and suspension are collaborated for more sportiness, and finally the looks, both inside and out, are slightly changed to distinguish the car from the regular models.

the basic difference is in the engine power (HP) and suspension and torque. the rest is quite the same. the TL 2008 is the same as the type S, besides the differences stated above. also interior trims. exterior, luxury, entertainment and etc could all be equal.
