I swapped the engine from my 1991 legend, during the process of installing the old parts to the new engine, some how when tighting the differential bolts (the one that goes to the tranny) I broke the differential case. This was the last thing I installed before putting the engine back in the compartment, I just want to know what did I do wrong

Over torqued the bolts?

you did not do the job righttoo many DYI mess things up and ask for a quick fix
