which country makes acura?

Japan - although they make Acuras in other countries as well, it's a Japanese company

the name of Acura and auto company is upper division of Honda; engine is from Japan, assembled in Marysville Auto Plant in Ohio so it depends on how you look at it. I give you another example, VW Jetta..engine is made in U.S., assembled in Mexico....Toyota Camry, some parts are from Canada, assembled in U.S. and engine is from Japan.

Acura is a luxury version of Honda. Hondas are made in Japan. acuras are also made in Japan.

It's like someone already said. Acura is just the luxury end of Honda. Think about it as a joint venture between the U.S. and Japan. Even though Acuras have Honda engines they still remain seperate companies. You could say they are made in the U.S. and Japan. This is why you have USDM engines made in the U.S. and JDM engines made in Japan. Making Acura was Honda's way to compete against the european luxury cars in the 80's. As an interesting note, the Acura legend was the first luxury car introduced in those years.

Acuras are made in America by Honda. Most, if not all are made in Ohio.Acura is the luxury brand badging of Honda, just as Lexus are really Toyotas, and Infinitis are Nissans. Honda did however produce its NSX in Japan.Also, I'm not sure if the TSX is produced in the USA, because it's really a revamped version of the European Accord.BTW, many of the Honda line are also produced in the USA as well (Ohio). The Accord & the Acura TL (for example) are produced off the same assembly line.Honda however imposes Japan's corporate philosphies & engineering competencies...things that make their automobiles the world class leaders that they are!
