Default I need advice and/or help with replacing my shocks with aftermarket shocks. Its a 97 Acura...

...Integra.?

that vehicle has struts on it so replacing them is going to be real hard to do unless you have the tools to compress the springs with,it can be a dangerous job to do ,it might be a better idea to have this one done the labor isn't that bad on having it done,good luck hope this helps.

if you do do it yourself, you better get a spring compressor....i do a ton of work on my car but let a garage do that.....

Are you wanting to lower your car too? if so get a full coilover kit, about $600-$1,200 depending on brand, then all you have to do is take the complete assembly out, and replace with the new one. If you took your car to a garage and had them just swap out the struts you will wind up paying just as much as the coilover suspension if not more due to the extra labor involved.

don't do it yourself...(if you're asking for help it means you don't know what you're doing..) get a pro to do it...and it's struts (I'd go with Koni).

Please don't do it yourself, let the pro's do it.. Also get a full coilover kit there about $400-$1,500 depending on brand. Good Luck..

its pretty easy job to do. just rent a spring compressor from autozone. if the spring slipsout of the compressor it has a pretty good chance to kill you. so if you are doing thisyourself be careful.
