Default I have a 97 Integra RS. Everytime I start the car and turn the AC on, it makes a high sqealing

sound. Why? Even if Im driving and turn on the AC it makes a high squealing noise and I can feel my power deplete. When I shift from 2nd to 3rd it sounds like a blow off valve but not the high pitch it makes.

usually just your fan belts or air-conditioning belt that needs tightening. If it is loose, (easy to check stopped engine! is there too much give in the belt?. ) it is fairly easy to tighten. If it isn't the belts, then as the gentleman said below you have a more serious question. But if it is the belt and you don't fix it, then very soon the belt will be worn through and you need a new belt installed -- even more expensive.

check the belt, the tensioner, or the compressor.
