change the cam gears, headers, intake (preferably cold air), throttle body, spark plug wires and spark plugs. it will help but u'll only get like 20-30 hp. maybe. but u'll definetely feel the difference. if you get a stage 2 racing clutch with a new flywheel it will help too.

i have 2003 type s also. but with $500, all you can get is intake and maybe a good exthaust. Mine got AEM v2 and Greddy cat back. they only add about 15hp tops. so you might want to think about increasing your budget little bit

With less then $500 its tough to say. Intake header alone will cost the $500 not including the intake. $500 you could go on a craiglist or local import site and pick up a slighty use nitrous kit. I would recommend a ZEX dry kit and no more then 75shot with stock plugs. With extra $120 you can get a new kit. I would recommend colder sparks 91+octane fuel and a least a aftermarket intake. GL

If you only want to spend 500 bucks, then get a nitrious kit. A used air intake will cost 100 bucks, used cat back exhaust system 200 bucks, and short headers 150 bucks used. You probably will get 15 ponys out of those upgrades. Get a nitrous kit for instant horsepower.

Only thing i would suggest that is worth the money...every tiny bit of it...is Hondata Reflash for the RSX. Its a bit more then $500 but if you have that much already save up the other $100 needed and get the reflash. Go to hondata.com and read into it and go to clubrsx.com and read reviews from people who have it. For the price its the best mod you can do.
