Default To lower compression in my Acura GSR, can LS pistons fit?

My compression is too high. I have a 60. trim turbo and the LS pistons are cheap. Would this help lowing the compression?

You don't want to play with lowering compression. It'll bite you hard later.

yeah, they will drop ur compression a little bit and yes they will fit. but i dont think u should be usin LS pistons if ur willing to go through all the work of putting them in. drop the compression more with something like eagle pistons and then u could run more boost safely. if u dont got the funds, those will be fine. a lot of ppl boost LS's, so it'll work. gl

Why do you want cheap when you have a turbo? You are just looking for trouble. You need to get either 8.5-1 or 9.0-1 compression pistons. If you plan on boosting more than 8 psi, you need to change out the rods with forged ones too. as far as the compression with the ls pistons you will still be at 10-1. going through all the trouble to you would be smart to just spend the $300 for good arias, or JE pistons.

just go forged. if u have enough to buy the turbo kit it wont cost much to get forged pistons and rods. dont worry bout the crank bc b series cranks can hold 700 hp there forged already

I hesitate to askI have recently developed a severe hesitation problem. Cyl 1 shows compression of 120. Other 3 have 150. If I squirt oil into 1, it also shows 150. There has been no change in compression or vacuum (18), but the hesitation and tom Honda 2 4 16 Apr 2005 04:42 pm
