Default About how long would this Acura last?

I have a 1996 3.2TL acura, it has about 147,000 miles so i am just wondering would this car work ok and last for about 2 or 3 more years, cause i've been told that its better if i get rid of it right now, because it will start acting up in few years and that i would be lucky if i sell if for $2000 in 2 years, so can anybody tell me? I know that you can't really get a specific answer for this since sometimes you have to know more information about the car but i just wanna know what most of you guys think.

Assuming your motor is in decent-to-good condition without any abnormal wear or previous issues (an existing blown ring land or head gasket, for example)...Keep your motor oil and coolant levels in check in case your older motor is leaking or burning them. Change your oil and oil filter every 3-4500 miles (Only use synthetic if you've been using it on this motor for at least the last several oil changes and have NO oil burning or leak problems). Keep the intake filter clean and replace the plugs as necessary.Other than that, as long as your fuel system isn't clogged and you're not abusive on the engine, I could see that Honda motor lasting another 40-60K easy. Depending on how many miles you drive a year, it could surely last you another 2-3 years.Another tip: Try to allow 30 seconds to a minute on cold start ups before hitting the road if you can. Don't be too aggressive with the throttle when the engine is still cold.

Well if you sell it right now, you may get a good 4,000 or so if it's in good condition. But Acuras and Hondas last a long time, this one guy even put 1,000,000 on his civic. So you will have at least a 3 or 4 more years to go on your 3.2But if you sell it in the future, you might be able to get 2k or so I would sell it right now, and just get a new civic or some JDM

Apparently the guy above me would trade your car in for a Civic or a motor...that's it, just a motor.I see no reason to sell that car unless you want something else. There's no time limit or expiration date on cars...unless you know something is going wrong, keep it until there is...or until you want something else. Acuras are Hondas which means they're the second most reliable cars out there, following Toyota.

I know of Acuras that have lasted for 300K miles and are still going extremely strong. Now the ones I saw were Acura legends. I'm not sure about the new generation Acuras (ie TL's, RL,s and CL's).

I have a 92 legend ls it has 150k on it you can't even tell the engine is on. it's worth more than 2k people ask me all the time if i will sell it. Just keep up the regular oil changes and other maintenance and you acura will be fine.

If you take care of the car real well, both inside and out, it'll last you longer then 2-3 years. However, if you trash it you probably won't get more than 2 years out of it.
