Default Honda Integra Type R (K20ar) swap into a 96 Acura Integra...?

What parts are necessary for a K20ar swap into an Acura Integra? My boyfriend is looking to swap a K20ar into his Integra and just needs to know what other parts he would need to install the engine and 6spd tranny into his car...

this aint a easy swap for a beginner or sumbody that has to ask wat you need. if you have 7,000 sittin around then this swap is possible. remember in the k series the engine is flipped around so to make it fit in your car alot of stuff must be done plus you lose a/c. but its worth is in the long run since k series respond to mods real good

Youre going to need a mechanic that wants to get into you're pants really bad. Stuff like that requires custom making motor mounts & welding them to the frame in other places from the factory configuratiion. But if you have enough money it can be done.

You would be better of swapping a B18C5 into it.Not only is the K swap about $10,000 if done correctly, but the extra 30 HP can be made up for with a lot less money. I have personally done this swap into a 99 civic, and a 94 integra. After all the extra parts, and fab work they both were close to $10,000. You can get a VERY GOOD B18C for around $2,400, and a Greddy or Turbonetics turbo kit for $3,000 and have a 300 HP integra.

Pretty much same answer as I answer before. There isnt really a point posting it here since only half the people know the answer which the rest just post to get points and or try to be funny. If he is serious and you about the K-swap they are many sites he can visit and get the correct answer on the swap and cost. Honda-tech.comE-hatch.comHondaswap.comK20a.org

First off the DC5-R engine is a K20A(thats all it is no r at the end). To get that into a integra, he is going to need the complete engine and transmission, hasport k-series mounts for the integra, dc5-r ecu or hondata k-pro, wiring harness, custom headers or EP3 header/Hytech headers, and new axles...with a few little things here and there. if hes doing the install him self hes talking about $5,000+ in total cost.
