Well you must have some stupid friends if they are telling you this.The only way you can make a TL do 240mph is to drive it off a cliff.It can hit 100 mph very quickly indeed, beyond that who cares? If you are caught going over 100 mph you face jail time and a lengthy ban on your license. You'll probably have fines too. So it really doesn't matter if it goes 120 or 150, you still can't go that fast in real life.

TL's should be limited to either 155 or 165. Probably 155mph. They can not phyisically go 240 mph. As for all cars in the US being limited to 155: this isnt true. Many are limited by the tires that the auto maker puts on them. Many Porsches, BMWs, Mercedes, Corvettes, and Vipers are way faster.

TL-s can range from 130-142mph, and yes the governer chip is there to keep things in check. Stock. with heavy mods(New engine, CAI, Supercharger, ect..) If your looking into a TL, i say go with the TL-S or RL either way!!
