Default acura integra 1987 lights lights lights what do they mean?

Okay dash board lights, the ones that light up to inform you of a problem. Well my battery light and my light light (the one that looks like a lightbulb with eyelqashes) they both come on after about 3 minutes of driving. I have no idea which lights (headlights, interior lights) the dash light is referring to, All i know is i have gone thru 3 batteries. The car dies every three to four days while i am driving it and it wont restart until i jump it. the first two batteries were cheap ones. so i bought a brand name battery and it not only didn't keep the car charged, it started to smoke. what is the problem. A mechanic. tested the alternator and the thing-a-ma-jig inside of the alternator, both are working fine. i figured he would keep looking for the problem, NOT. he said he doesnt know why the lights are coming on or why ive burnt up the batteries. you might wanna take the car into an ACURA dealer....they have the CORRECT batteries for your car and they also might know what the PROBLEM is...

wow..im amazed it hasnt burst into flames... somewhere you have a serious short circuit... something is drawing an incredible ammount of power, esp if your alternator is testing OK... thats hundreds of amps melting wires, or frying the relays on a burned out whatever it is... and as youve changed the batteries aare you sure youve reconnected all teh terminal ends correctly.. one error is all you need! whatever it is its dangerous... batteries explode and cars catch fire... get it sorted before it happens.

You might find this site useful: http://www.all-parts.com/diagnostics...Integra.htmlIt appears to be a fault finding site with mechanics and electricians on it.

Sounds like you got a bad short in your system. Best bet unfortunately is probably going to be taking the car to an Acura Certified mechanic which of course won't be cheap.Good luck
